Causa Sui - Pewt'r Sessions 2 (2011)

I danesi Causa Sui suonano insieme sin dalla tenera età e approdano al loro settimo album con questo Pewt's Sessions 2 per la altrettanto danese El Paraiso. 3 brani in puro stile kraut/psych/prog, quindi improvvisazioni a non finire alla Amon Duul, scordature più o meno volute ed effetti che condiscono il tutto di tanto in tanto. Una sorta di Motorpsycho terza maniera con più modesti risultati. Azzeccate le dinamiche di Garden of Forking Paths che apre il disco con ben quasi 24 minuti. Bello il groove col quale apre Gelassenheit sopra al quale una chitarra kraut strofina note quasi sempre 'out' producendosi - tra l'altro - in errori piuttosto evidenti. Wha immancabile, lo stesso cliché del primo pezzo. Il terzo ed ultimo brano ricorda vagamente l'incedere del basso della zeppeliniana Dazed and Confused (ho detto 'vagamente...'), decisamente il brano più riuscito. Magari fossero stati tutti così. Buon disco, ma non è assolutamente sufficiente a far gridare al miracolo come scritto il alcune recensioni europee. In Italia abbiamo diversi gruppi in grado di suonare, più o meno le stesse cose ma molto meglio. Vi siete mai chiesti perché la nostra fanteria non riesca a raggiungere (almeno) i medesimi livelli di rispetto e notorietà ?

The danish Causa Sui played together from an early age and calling for their seventh album with this Pewt's Sessions 2 for the same Danish El Paraiso. 3 songs in the pure kraut / psych / prog style, no ending impro a la Amon Duul, out of tuning more or less wanted, and effects that took that season all from time to time. A sort of third way Motorpsycho with more modest results. Well-aimed the dynamics of Garden of Forking Paths, which opens the disc with as many as nearly 24 minutes. Nice groove which opens the next Gelassenheit above which a kraut guitar rubs notes almost always 'out', producing - among other things - in rather obvious mistakes. Inevitable wha, the same cliches of the first track. The third and last song vaguely reminiscent of the march of Dazed and Confused (I say 'vaguely ...'), definitely the most successful song. Maybe they were all like that. Good record, but it is not enough to make a miracle as written some reviews in Europe. In Italy we have several teams capable of playing, more or less the same thing but much better. Have you ever wondered why our infantry can not reach (at least) the same level of respect and notoriety?
