Magari lo conoscete già. Brad Davis ha avuto un passato nei Fu Manchu (chitarra e voce) ma anche nei Fireball Ministry (basso). Direte, perché cazzo scrivi di un disco, peraltro un ep, del 2007 ? Adesso ve lo spiego, non vi incazzate. Prendete un gruppo di persone di addetti ai 'lavori musicali' con i coglioni quadrati e fategli fare un disco, magari non scoprirete i Primus di turno, magari vomiterete all'ascolto, magari correrete ad Arcore o a palazzo Grazioli a rilassarvi, ma se non avete nulla da trarre da questo disco allora sarà bene parlarne, magari velocemente, così potrete tornare alle vostre droghe varie. E' noto che una produzione artistica di livello necessita di un investimento importante, economico e non solo. Non pretenderò che tutti i dischi dei gruppi underground (italiani e non) raggiungano tale livello di qualità, ma una decenza si. Produttori ed etichette, ingegneri del suono, assistenti di studio, musicisti o simil tali, sballati della prima ora, prostitute da telefonino, ascoltate questo cazzo di cd. Così si registra e produce un album rock. Lasciamo stare il feel POP che rislata con evidenza dalle tracce, non discutiamo del giudizio estetico in questa sede (sarebbe comunque inutile). TUTTO è a posto in questo ep. Suono (si sentono tutti gli strumenti), tempo (nessuno 'sgarra', mai), tutto è studiato alla perfezione (giri, fill, tono della voce, sovraincisioni ecc.), ed il risultato non è manieristico. Ite, missa est.

Never mind the feel POP risling with evidence from the tracks, do not discuss the aesthetic judgments here (it would be useless anyway). EVERYTHING is in place in this ep. Sound (you hear all the instruments), time (no mistakes, never), everything is designed to perfection (riffs, fills, tone of voice, overdubs, etc..), And the outcome is not mannerism. Ite, missa est.
