I norvegesi del Kammello solitario incidono il loro terzo lavoro per l'austriaca Napalm Records dopo l'ominimo e Blues for the Dead. Il suono, globalmente inteso, oscilla tra una attitudine stoner condita da una buona dose di hard rock comune ed un pizzico di pop. Hard rock senza troppi fronzoli...sono al quarto pezzo ma non trovo nulla di particolare da segnalare...il disco non è suonato male ma i giri ed il songwriting non regala nulla a chi ha nelle orecchie migliaia di dischi rock. Il quinto pezzo 'Seventh Son' attira la nostra attenzione...ma lo sviluppo della song non ci regala altre emozioni diverse da quelle descritte sin'ora. La voce ricorda vagamente quella del buon Glenn Anzalone (Danzig, di evidente origine italiana...). Ho paura che questo sia il migliore pezzo del platter...e infatti il discorso continua con schemi visti mille e mille volte, the Prophet, con una buona variazione nella seconda parte, Ragnarökr che insiste su un riff leggermente più scuro e lento, meno rock and roll insomma. Roadtrip with Lucifer sembra figlia dei Kyuss, un bel groove che merita attenzione, un buon finale psychedelico. Hard to Please segna il ritorno a un hard rock americano vecchio di 30 anni...non a caso dura 2:40. Chiude Whorehouse Groove, idem. Un disco con diverse ombre e qualche luce sparsa.   

The Norwegian Lonely Kamel record their third work for the austrian Napalm Records after an eponimous and Blues for the Dead. The sound, at large, fluctuates between a stoner attitude seasoned by a good dose of common hard rock and a pinch of pop. Hard rock with no frills ... we are at the fourth piece, can not find anything special to report ... the disc is not played badly but the riffs and the songwriting don't give anything to those who have heard thousands of such rock records. The fifth piece 'Seventh Son' draws our attention but the development of the song...gives us no other emotion than those described so far. The voice vaguely reminiscent of the good Glenn Anzalone (Danzig, of a clear Italian origin...). I'm afraid this is the best piece of the platter...indeed it continues with the same patterns seen thousands of times, the Prophet, with a good variation in the second part, Ragnarökr which rests on a riff slightly darker and slower, less rock and roll in short. Roadtrip with Lucifer seems daughter of Kyuss, a nice groove that deserves attention, a good ending psychedelic. Hard to Please mark the return to an american hard rock 30 years old ... not by chance it's 2:40 long. Closes Whorehouse Groove, ditto. A disk with various shadows and a few scattered light.
